Puget Sound Public Radio is the not-for-profit corporation that operates KUOW Public Radio on behalf of the University of Washington, which holds the station’s broadcasting license.
The KUOW PSPR Board of Directors (KUOW Board) provides oversight for KUOW’s strategic direction and financial sustainability to identify future directions, ensuring that the organization meets its goals and stays aligned with its mission. It acts a sounding board and an avenue for transparency for the station’s management team. Board members act as advocates for and ambassadors of the station with the community.
The Board does not influence the editorial direction or content produced and published by KUOW's journalists. The KUOW Board is comprised of 20-27 directors who serve up to three terms of three years each. All Directors serve on at least one committee, of which the Board currently has five.
