  • Labor & Economy Reporter

    The Puget Sound region has a rich ecosystem of homegrown Fortune 500 companies as well as a thriving startup culture. Our companies here are reshaping the way we live, work, travel and interact with technology. What happens in Seattle’s business and tech scene often sets trends throughout the country. We’re seeking an experienced labor and economy reporter. Here’s a look at the ideal candidate: You stay a step ahead of developments in Seattle’s evolving economy to tell the story of how our region is changing. You spot and report on labor trends, from people leaving the workforce to jobs in high demand. You cover unions and workers’ rights, along with efforts to unionize at big players like Amazon and Starbucks. You tell the stories of how labor shortages are reconfiguring industries. You look for stories about employees in search of work that better aligns with their values or reflects a better work-life balance, and the policies employers enact toward that. You dig into efforts to improve equity in the workplace, exploring solutions and setbacksYou report on how companies and employees are faring in industries hardest hit by the pandemic. You tell stories about their struggles and how some evolve. You look for emerging trends and signs of resilience. You turn around enterprise and breaking news stories for both broadcast and digital.   • Campaign Strategy Manager

    KUOW has an exciting opportunity for a Campaign Strategy Manager to develop multi-channel holistic fundraising campaigns across the organization – finding better ways to engage existing and new donors and making KUOW an organization more donors love. The ideal candidate for this position is an excellent strategist, writer and communicator who can wear many hats to strategize and collaborate with diverse teams and is highly comfortable with digital fundraising and marketing tools.   • Group Manager, Digital Product Management

    We have an outstanding opportunity for a Group Manager, Digital Product Management to serve as a digital thought-leader and expert, overseeing a team consisting of a Product Manager, UX Designer, and Web Developer, assessing the benefits and tradeoffs of adopting and provisioning new digital processes and technologies. This individual will document and communicate the strategic vision, objectives, scope, risks, and success criteria to senior leadership and throughout the organization as set by the Sr. Director of Digital Product. They build innovative digital experiences across mobile platforms, desktop and other devices that support KUOW’s business needs and growing audiences. The person selected for this role must help build consensus for change with end users and organizational stakeholders including the content creators of on-air broadcasts, podcasts and other digital media content and member-focused services.   • Marketing Project Manager

    KUOW has an outstanding opportunity for a Marketing Project Manager reporting to the (Interim) Chief Marketing Officer. The Project Manager has responsibility for coordinating and advancing station-wide initiatives and marketing campaigns. They will define business requirements, establish SMART goals, identify KPIs, analyze data, document decisions and workflows, manage calendars and budgets to ensure projects are launched on time and on-budget. Projects may include technology infrastructure refreshes/changes; data and reporting infrastructure development; new program launches; marketing campaigns and events; vendor management; and business process analysis/improvements.     KUOW has an exciting opportunity for the Membership Operations Manager to oversee fundraising logistics and collaborate with diverse teams across the organization and externally to ensure efficiency and accuracy of membership-related campaign functions. The ideal candidate for this position identifies opportunities for improving member acquisition, retention and renewal strategies and has an eye for optimization.
