Alexei Navalny's diaries shed light on his time in prison, larger goals

The New Yorker has published prison diaries from the Russian opposition leader and anticorruption campaigner Alexei Navalny, in an excerpt from his book “Patriot: A Memoir.” Navalny died in a Russian prison in February 2024.
