Flashbangs fired at a Portland protest - but only against counterprotesters, says ACLU
The sound of flashbangs and smoke grenades echoed through the streets of downtown Portland Saturday during a protest held by the Proud Boys and Patriot Prayer. The groups clashed with members of Antifa, who were primarily on the receiving end of police force.
That's a problem, says the ACLU, and the Portland chief of police has offered a review of that use of force. Oregon Public Broadcasting's breaking news reporter Ericka Cruz Guevarra joined Ross Reynolds to discuss what she saw at the protest, and how law enforcement responded.
