Sound Transit takes heat for fare enforcement on first day of school
Sound Transit is facing criticism for enforcing student fares on the first day of school in Seattle.
A picture circulated on social media showing a Sound Transit fare enforcement officer taking a picture of a student’s ID after the girl had not paid her fare.
Sound Transit spokesperson Rachelle Davis said officers did not ticket students on the first day of school, and instead took “a customer service and education approach” with kids.
