Elise Cresswell is a reporter searching for a big story. When she meets a scorned "cowboy," she thinks she's found it.

But like any good story, it doesn't end the way she expects...

Cowboys. Big standoffs, big guns and even bigger personalities.

Clint Eastwood. John Wayne. Henry Fonda. They're icons of a bygone era.

But not everyone is willing to let go of that time. In a tiny town in Washington state lives a man who believes he belongs on that list of icons.

He may not have the fame, the fortune or the recognition — but he's a true cowboy.

When reporter Elise Cresswell hears rumors of an elusive cowboy in Washington state, she knows it's a story she needs to chase.

Elise expects to produce a podcast about a sad vigilante of a man — the kind of strange story that just might go viral.

She's wrong about that, but she's correct about one thing: this will be the greatest story she has ever worked on.
