Elections, elections and more elections this week
Bill Radke reviews the week's news with Q13 political analyst CR Douglas, Civic Cocktail host Joni Balter, and KIRO-7 reporter Essex Porter.
Election day has come and gone, but we still don't know (as of Friday afternoon) who the next President of the United States will be. But that doesn't mean there's nothing to talk about. The panelists discuss what a Trump or Biden presidency will mean for Washington, if mail in ballots will become the norm nationwide, and if Washington is likely to adopt Oregon and San Francisco's new legislation decriminalizing hard drugs and taxing CEOs.
Plus, while we may not know the national election results yet, we do know most local results. Governor Inslee has won a third term in office, although Republican candidate Loren Culp has not yet conceded. Democrats swept most of their races, leaving Secretary of State Kim Wyman the only republican in a statewide office. So what will Inslee's next term look like? Will Republicans ever make a comeback in Washington? Plus, the panelists discuss what's making them happy this week.

Bill hosts Week In Review and Words in Review. After starting with KUOW as a University of Washington student in 1985, Bill was KUOW's morning host in the '90s and the creator of past show, Rewind, a news-satire show heard on KUOW and nationwide on NPR. Bill moved away to Southern California to host American Public Media's Weekend America and Marketplace Morning Report and returned to KUOW in 2012.
