Friday, February 1: Pacific Northwest Ballet opens its final production of Ronald Hynd's "The Sleeping Beauty." The show runs through February 10 at Marian Oliver McCaw Hall at Seattle Center.

On Saturday, Seattle's Office of Arts and Culture is hosting 'Hello/Goodbye Viaduct,' what it calls a once in a lifetime arts festival. Activities begin at 12:30 p.m. with a parade and continue until 6 p.m. The festival will feature art installations, booths and live performance.
The celebration is free but requires a timed ticket to enter from either the north or south ends of span. Advanced tickets are all taken, but WSDOT will be offering walkup access from the Seneca Street on ramp.
Thursday, February 7: KUOW's Front Row Center will be at Seattle Art Museum for First Thursday. The museum is free to the public. Curator Erika Dalya Massaquoi will be in conversation with me at 7 p.m., discussing the installation "Taking Tea," a response to SAM's Porcelain Room. Make a reservation here.
