  In 2018, the Washington state Legislature passed a law that, among other things, prevents state agencies from sharing residents’ personal information with federal officials when it comes to immigration enforcement. It's part of a range of laws and policies that makes Washington a sanctuary state. A new investigation from KING 5 shows at least one state agency has quietly been sharing that kind of information with some Homeland Security agencies as deportations ramp up.
