Why is Seattle losing trees?

Seattle has lost 255 acres of trees since 2016 according to a newly released canopy cover assessment by the city.

Trees provide social, environmental, and health benefits. Today we talk about why tree cover is important for our city and who pays the price when we lose that shade.

Conservation ecologist and environmental consultant Sean Watts also tells us about who is most affected by losing tree cover and the kinds of solutions we can think about.
